Tis The Season: Wine Under 50$ To Gift This Christmas

Celebrating Christmas is a fun, memorable occasion that’s usually spent with friends and family, and is full of fun gift-giving such as red wine or Champagne. We're all attempting to find the ideal presents for our loved ones. If you have a wine lover on your list, then you’re in luck, go and order wine online! But the reality is, after many years of celebrating Christmas and giving gifts to the same friends/family, it’s difficult to come up with something new from a wine store USA. Don't you feel like you're always looking at the same sparkling wines or white wines when you want to order wine online? You are not alone.

To make your shopping even easier, we have included a link to each holiday wine if you want to buy wine online. So, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the holiday season!

When making this list, we chose only the best red wines which can accompany classical Christmas dinners, white wine for Christmas dinner appetizers, and sparkling wine for the opening ceremony. We have also tried to ensure that all our selected wines can be easily reached and found when you go to any wine store in the USA or you prefer to order wine online.

Au Bon Climat "Isabelle" Pinot Noir

Internationally known for beautiful produce and refined artistry, California Pinot Noir red wines flourishes amidst the state's cool coastal regions. In 1982 Jim Clendenen set out to establish Au Bon Climat Winery - a vinery dedicated solely to producing Burgundian varietals. Au Bon Climat has been producing wine from some of the most well-regarded vineyards on the central coast for 40 years old.

This red wine, made up of six different vineyards' finest Cuvee blends, was aged for two years in 100% new French oak barrels. It expresses the aromas of raspberry, spices, orange peel, and brambly herbs while holding hints of florals and sandalwood. The balance is exactly perfect, testifying to a mastery of artful blending.

Beringer Knights Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Beringer Vineyard was the first in the Knights Valley-California to plant vines on these magnificent fields, where they discovered it was a great location for growing high-quality red wine grapes. This valley is renowned for its ability to produce excellent red wines, due in large part to it being naturally cooled by air coming off of the Pacific Ocean during the hot season. However, they produce great white wines too which you can easily find in any wine store in USA.

Nights Valley Reserve is a result of an individual barrel selection. To preserve the differences between each lot from various parts of the estate, Nights Valley Reserve wines are separated during fermentation and aging processes. Only the most expressive barrels go into this special bottling

On the nose, it has spicy cherry and notes of vanilla, tea leaves, lavender, and fresh sage. With a medium body, very well-rounded tannins, and lively flavors of blackcurrant and blackberry, it shows its aging potential together with a long-lasting finish with perfect acidity

Ojai Kessler-Haak Vineyard Pinot Noir

Sta. Rita Hills is one of the coolest, most western regions within the much larger Santa Ynez Valley AVA (appellation) in Santa Barbara County—and it may very well be the next big thing in red wine production. This relatively new winery has been producing some great wines that are notably different than what you'll find elsewhere because they are made with grapes grown without using many modern techniques such as pumping or fining.

This powerful red wine spent 15 months resting inside French oak barrels before it was bottled, and it boasts dark cherry notes, a richer mouthfeel, and beautiful purity.

Bodegas Más Que Vinos La Plazuela

Mas Que Vinos Winery established a new winery in the town of Cabañas de Yepes in 2007. Located on land belonging to the family since 1851, this complex and highly prized red wine is handcrafted from grapevines that are between 60-80 years old. It remains inside oak barrels for 18 months before bottling - imparting its' signature aroma of fresh fruits along with hints of tobacco, and other spices, as well as finishing off with an enticing velvet-like texture.

Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs

Why not toast Christmas with sparkling wine? The Domaine Lelarge-Pugeot has been in business for nearly 200 years, dating back to when one of their ancestors first arrived in Vrigny, which is today an officially defined Premier Cru wine area for Champagne.

Lelarge-Pugeot is now certified organic everywhere; moreover, they are working to convert to Biodynamic techniques. So, if you are looking for this Champagne in a wine store, make sure you check the organic section.

As clear in its name, Blanc de Blanc is a Champagne made from 100% white grape-Chardonnay. It has only 4 g/l sugar, which means extra brut, and spent 4 years on yeast and gained complex aromas such as biscuit, brioche, and some toast. It also expresses great minerality and aromas of apple, banana, lemon, and almond.

You have determined which ones to order online, but if you still don't know which dishes to pair with, you can read our blog on this topic; The Essentials of Wine and Food Pairing.
